Although the name of this product suggests that it is a makeup base, it is actually more like a BB cream.

Mamonde is a Korean cosmetics brand which is quite popular domestically yet not well known in other countries. Their products are all quite reasonably priced, including this UV Smart Base.

UV Smart Base is more yellow-based than a lot of BB creams which tend to have dull, ashy tone. It comes in two colors, #21 natural beige and #23 sand beige. #23 matches my medium Asian skintone well. It provides sheer to medium coverage.

It is a creamy lotion which has more slip than the usual BB creams so it is easy to blend, and gives a dewy finish. However I find it a bit too emollient for my oily skin, and I can only use it in cool weather. The fragrance in this product is a bit strong too.

This is a very convenient product that moisturizes, evens out skin tone and provides daily sun protection at the same time. I guess those with dry skin may like this product better. I would like it to be not as strongly scented too.
