I hesitated when I first thought of reviewing DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Eau de Parfum. Afterall, scent preference is so individual. But I decided I had to because this perfume has helped me branch out from my white florals-only rut and has become my new favorite fragrance.
Sephora lists Fresh Blossom's notes as: grapefruit, cassis, apricot, muguet, rose, jasmine, apple, blond woods, and smooth skin accord. It's described as fresh, alluring and sophisticated.
I don't know what a smooth skin accord is but I do admit this has plenty of white florals. However, it also has the perfect fruit-citrus-fresh combination to make it different. There is the familiar DKNY apple scent which is so prevalent in the line's other perfumes, but the grapefruit and apricot essences don't get overwhelmed. Fresh Blossom has that unique feminine-but-with-a-punch vibe I've been searching for.
The one downside to Fresh Blossom is the same thing that exists for all DKNY perfumes: the scent only lasts about half the day. I always need to re-spray myself before going anywhere in the evening. It's a minor annoyance for me but could bother others more, so I have to rate it lower than I would otherwise.
If you're a floral lover looking to broaden your horizons, or even a fresh-citrus lover, check into DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Eau de Parfum. It comes in a variety of sizes and prices to fit most budgets and can be found on Sephora.com. ($40/1 oz.; $55/1.7 oz.; $70/3.4 oz.)
