I first purchased It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in 2-3 years ago after hearing good things about it on the vine. Unfortunately, I was initially unimpressed and gave it away to a friend. Enter 2009!
Late last year, I noticed my hairdresser was using this and JUST this to prep my hair before blow-drying and flat-ironing. She always gets my frizz-prone hair much smoother than I can, but I decided this was worth another look.
I purchased the smaller bottle and experimented with this along with other leave-in products (Neil George Indian Gooseberry is one that comes to mind). I realized that my not-so-full head of hair was weighed down and heavy looking with both products. I eliminated the Neil George (which I do still love, but on it's own) and quickly fell in love with It's a 10 Miracle Leave-in. My hair was easy to style and managed my frizz quite easily. I have since finished that bottle and recently purchased the larger, 10 ounce size!
According to the product packaging, and the corresponding website, does the following 10 things (hence the name):
1) Repairs dry, damaged hair
2) Adds shine
3) Detangles
4) Controls frizz
5) Seals & protects hair color
6) Prevents split ends
7) Stops hair breakage
8) Creates silkiness
9) Enhances natural body
10) Flat iron spray & thermal protector
About 3 weeks ago, I had the Brazilian Blowout done and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use this any longer. My hairdresser said this is an excellent product for post Brazilian Blowout hair.
To use, I sometimes spray a 2-3 pumps of product into my hair, then use my hands to distribute evenly throughout. Other times, I'll spray directly into my hands and distribute that way. The latter is my preferred method for even distribution. The product is actually a cream-like product, not liquid-y at all. But it sprays into a mist that is easy to distrubute. I find that if I use too much, my 2nd day hair is too flat and greasy looking by the end of day 2. A lighter hand with this product is better!
I paid $36.80 for 10 fluid ounces recently at my hair salon. I can get it cheaper at my local beauty supply and when I google it, I find several on-line retailers selling this size for $10 less than what I paid. (My shopping isn't always motivated by frugality but by convenience. At least that is what I'm telling myself knowing I overpaid for this!)
