I picked this up last fall while vacationing in Hawaii when the Cremesheen lipglosses first launched. I remember perusing the counter, looking at the items from the recent launch, with nothing really jumping out at me. I asked the artist helping me to suggest something, and he chose the Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait for me. I'm so happy he did!
The Cremesheen glasses are a wonderful formula! Creamy like a lipstick, shiny like a gloss. The texture is soft and balm-like, not at all sticky.
The MAC website has this to say about the Cremesheen Glass product:
A lip finish that fuses the creamy, sheen-filled nature of Cremesheen Lipstick with the shine of M∙A∙C Lipglass. Soft, comfortable, non-sticky. Applies with a doe-foot applicator. Use as a top layer to its namesake Lipstick or on its own.
Boy Bait is described on the site as "light, neutral beige with pearl". I find the pearl to be extremely subtle if there at all. To my eyes, it's a creamy, milky-peachy-neutral.
I prefer to wear this alone, without a liner. I think it looks softer this way and has enough color that I don't need a lipstick underneath. I find that this is my "go to" nude lip look and also one that works when I don't know what else to use.
Currently, there are 9 shades in the Cremesheen Glass collection:
Richer, Lusher: Peach coral
Just Superb: Dirty, neutral pink
Partial to Pink: Light creamy yellow pink with light gold pearl
Boy Bait: Light, neutral beige with pearl
DeeLight: Mid-tone neutral
Over Indulgence: Neutral brown
Fashion Scoop: Clear pink
Double Dare: Coral red
Loud & Lovely: Blue pink
When I first purchased Boy Bait, it was limited edition, but I'm happy to see it now in the permanent line-up.
