I bought this when Barney's was having their annual beauty gift with purchase because I figured shampoo and conditioner would be something I could actually use. And Kiehl's is a brand I have always liked.
I also need volume for my fine, straight, and thin hair. I need lots and lots of help in the volume department.
I don't find that this gives my hair the lots and lots of volume that I would like but it doesn't weigh my hair down either. So while I don't get the volume I feel like my hair is soft and clean which is nice but not exactly what I'm looking for.
The shampoo gives a lovely thick but not too thick lather and a little goes a long way. I always end up using the conditioner up first (I wish I was better at controlling my measurements for this but I'm not) and I find it to be a nice lightweight more of a detangler type conditioner.
Overall, it makes my hair feel nice and clean and doesn't weigh it down but it doesn't give it the full volume that I am looking for.
While I don't hate the shampoo and conditioner, it doesn't give me the volume I'm looking for and for the price, I definitely want what the volume.
From Kiehl's website:
Kiehl’s chemists have created a two-step revitalizing routine for thin, lifeless hair by combining the latest in hair care science – volumizing complexes that coat hair to impart the appearance of thickness – with the long-relied upon benefits of rice and wheat proteins to create fullness and body without stripping hair of its natural lipids.
Fortified with honey and conditioning extracts of rice bran and jojoba seed, these gentle formulas cleans and moisturize hair without weighing it down.
