I’ve probably read about Fyrinnae’s Pixie Epoxy 100 times and everyone raves that it’s “all that and a bag of chips”. I’ve gone to order it so many times and always backed down. I finally broke down and decided to place an order for this, along with a few pigment samples, from Fyrinnae. There’s just so many times that I can resist. Knowing that my blogging partner loves pigments more than I do I just had to get her one too. The next morning I had an email from Lisaannie telling me that it rocked! Well Lisa is right and so are the other people that have raved about this product.
I used to be totally enamored with pigments but I’m less so now. Part of it is the mess involved. I’ve been using Pixie Epoxy with a variety of pigments now (theirs, LA Splash, MAC for example) and I’m finding it makes life with pigments so much easier.
Pixie Epoxy is extremely sticky but that makes it wonderful for loose eyeshadows. After you apply it to your eye you need to wait patiently for it to lose some of that tackiness before you can apply your pigments (at least 30 seconds). This is an adhesive, not an eyeshadow primer. I haven’t used it with regular eyeshadows since I don’t think they’d blend well with it. I have read though that UD's very glittery eyeshadows work great with this. I usually just press or pat my pigments onto my Pixie Epoxy covered eyelid using a brush like the MAC 242. If you had extremely oily eyelids you might want to use a primer like TFSI first but my experience is that this is enough.
Here’s why it’s wonderful:
*It makes the shadows last all day long, they are as vibrant on me at the end of the day as at the beginning.
*It’s inexpensive ($7 for the tube, $1.50 for a sample) and will last a very long time.
*I don’t end up with shadow everywhere. It goes on my eyes and stays on my eyes. That’s pretty miraculous.
*It starts sticky but doesn’t stay sticky. You may feel at first that it’s going to last and be uncomfortable, but it won’t.
Here’s why it’s not so wonderful:
-The packaging isn’t that hygienic. It’s a doe foot applicator inside a lipgloss like tube. I apply it directly on my eye with the applicator. But since I’m the only one using it, it’s a minor complaint.
-It’s not waterproof. During 90 degree plus weather when water (aka sweat) is running down my face, it does disappear a little.
-If you prefer to “blend” eyeshadows then you might need a little practice with this. I think it’s better to pat the loose pigments onto the eye.
My final impression – buy it! And for my chips I’d like Baked Lays in Barbecue flavor to go along with it. 5 long lasting and vibrant flowers.

Information from Fyrinnae about this:
A must-have for shimmery, sparkling shadows! This is not an eye shadow primer, or really a base. It is to keep sparkles on or to make shimmery shadows appear "glossy": a foiled look without foiling.
Originally developed and formulated for a friend/pro artist, this unique "glue" is designed to hold the sparkliest, most shimmery eye shadows in place, minimize "fallout", and also to easily create a foiled look without foiling. Don't worry, it's easily washed off, and while keeps shadows in a water-resistant state, the product itself is water-soluble (no silicones or oils). Polymers give the stickiness, while glycerin and propylene glycol keep it wet and slick on skin long enough to apply & blend shadows.
