I came across Burts Bees After Sun Soother last year and haven't used anything else for this purpose since.
After Sun Soother comes in a plastic tube with a flip cap. It dispenses easily. One large tube which costs $10 USD at most drugstores lasts me the summer.
The lotion is nice and light but not sticky. I always found the "aloe" gels to be sticky and gooey. This isn't. It absorbs fairly quick and has a fresh clean herbally scent that isn't strong at all.
What I really love about After Sun Soother is that it seems to actually help our skin feel better fast. The heat from a sunburn is lessened and we haven't peeled or had problems with dehydrated skin.
I swear that the redness is turned down 50% by the next day with this.
I keep it stored in the fridge for a real cool down. After Sun Soother just feels so refreshing.
Honestly, this is the best after sun lotion I have come across. Fairly inexpensive, effective, not sticky or stinky. Love it!
